Advancement Services Salary & Staffing Survey

At the August 2000 CASE Summer Institute in Advancement Service renewed interest was expressed in an Advancement Services Salary Survey. Here it is! Key Points:

It was done confidentially in the past where I summarized information by size, geo region, class & other factors. If you request, I will not identify your institution's detailed salary information. If you are willing to share your salary info, I will provide that to others.

Detailed staffing information included in this survey will be made available by institution. Summary salary will be compiled and shared.

Past surveys have focused on supervisory positions (e.g., positions with hire/fire/evaluation responsibilities) with staff reporting to them. This survey includes these and other positions with their salary ranges.

Certain institutions may have "one person" shops for Advancement Services (i.e., no staff.) It is important to capture this information as well. In these cases, please fill in the information for the Senior/Lead A/S position.

I will run the survey periodically; results from this pass will be summarized in early October. As of 10/23/00, results may be found by clicking HERE. I'll still accept input and periodically update the summary.
