RIA 2000 A/S Skills & Recruiting Survey

(May 2000) Demands for skilled personnel in Advancement Services are competing with the general demand for technical staff in both non-profit and for-profit organizations around the world. Clients and prospects regularly ask me, "Which are the most important skills for our A/S positions?" and "Where can I find someone to fill my open positions?" I have my opinions, but would like to include your thoughts and experiences as well.

To facilitate preparation of the form, you may wish to first print this page. It will give you all of the fields requested for your entry. The "Institution Demographic" data in the survey is collected to put your institution in context of others.

Thanks for your participation. Initial summary of survey responses here.

It is my intention to create a multi-part survey encompassing many of the past surveys published on FundSvcs and at this web site during the Summer of 2000. You will be able to participate in any or all of the parts (hardware and software, staffing, standards and benchmarks, skills & recruiting, etc.) Separate from the survey above, I'd welcome input from you regarding the types of information that you would find useful (and that you'd be willing to provide.) Please send me your comments to SurveyThoughts@riarlington.com
